Horseback Riding
Horseback riding is the featured activity at Shangrila Guest Ranch and is included in our all inclusive packages. Trail rides are anywhere from an hour to most all day with lunch on the trail. Our various network of riding trails allows us to adjust the length of our trail ride to accommodate the comfort of our riders. We provide quality horses to fit the needs of the first time rider as well as those more experienced.
The minimum age for horseback riding is 10 years. Exceptions may be made based on previous riding experience and riding ability. Children unable to trail ride may be led on horseback or have lessons in the riding ring.
All riders must be physically fit and mentally capable for horseback riding. Weight limit restrictions exist.
Trail riding and wagon rides at the guest ranch for non guests are by appointment only. Please contact the ranch in advance to make an appointment at 434-517-0888.
Non guest rates for horseback riding:
- $40/hr per person
- $125 per person – horseback riding excursion, 10am – 2pm, includes lunch
